History
In 1964 Raymond Lutgert purchased 760 undeveloped acres in Naples, FL which lay between the Gulf of Mexico to the west and US Highway 41 to the east. He envisioned a place where people could come to relax on vacation or to live – in an immaculate, prestigious community. Over the next four years, Lutgert and his team of architects, engineers, and land planners established the first planned development district in Florida. The neighborhood features both inland and waterfront homes and includes excellent shopping and dining establishments.
Construction on Park Shore began in phases during the 1970’s and ‘80s, starting with the first Florida condominium with its own private docks on the Bay, followed by several high rises, and ultimately a premiere shopping mall, the Village at Venetian Bay.
Residents of Park Shore have a private beach entry, but there are several public beach access points. There are marina facilities located on the waterfront. You'll also find a lighted promenade that stretches along the beach - an ideal place for strolling along the waterfront in the evening breezes.
